ACCI emphasises private sector role in development at Belgium-Luxembourg forum

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) says the private sector plays a pivotal role as a driver of innovation, job creation, and social progress.

According to a statement by Olayemi John-Mensah, ACCI Media Officer, its President, Dr Emeka Obegolu, said this on Tuesday at the Nigeria-Belgium-Luxembourg Business forum 2024 in Brussels.

Obegolu said the forum served as a crucial platform for fostering collaboration between the private sectors of Nigeria, Belgium, and Luxembourg, with the aim of bolstering sustainable economic growth.

The ACCI president restated the forum’s success in creating opportunities for partnership across various sectors.

According to him, through collaboration, we can unlock new opportunities and build a future where our economies are stronger, more resilient, and inclusive.

“As the voice of the business community and the foremost Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria, I affirm that the ACCI remains committed to supporting initiatives that encourage business growth and sustainable development,” he said.

Obegolu called for enhanced cooperation among stakeholders to explore new avenues for collaboration, reinforcing the chamber’s dedication to fostering an environment conducive to business success.

He expressed gratitude to the hosts in Belgium and Luxembourg for their warm reception, and the businesses that had contributed to these fruitful collaborations.

“Together, we can strengthen our ties and achieve our common objectives.

“The ACCI looks forward to deepening relationships and partnerships, setting the stage for continued economic engagement between Nigeria and its European counterparts,” Obegolu said.
